The Studio//Shift art collaborative puts passion projects on display during Open Studios Evanston on June 6th.

The passion-driven side projects of NeigerDesign staff members will be on display at Botti Studio during the Open Studios Evanston citywide art event on June 6, 2015. Initiated last year for the company's 25th anniversary, the art collaborative Studio//Shift enters its second year strong with eight participating artists, whose work includes paintings, prints, photographs, pottery, drawings, and jewelry.

  • June 6: 12-5 p.m. Open Studios Evanston citywide gallery and studio tours
  • June 6: 6-8 p.m. Studio//Shift artist reception and improv comedy show

Artists: Carol Neiger, Lisa Plefka Haskin, Denae Dietlein, Jennie Ramazinski Miller

"Studio//Shift provides a way for us to develop our creative passions through group show, critique groups, and community arts involvement. There is a flipside to our design and marketing methodology and skills which reflects more intrinsic talents like art, theater and music where we can express ourselves without boundaries," says Carol Neiger, president of NeigerDesign and an avid painter. Studio//Shift artists will be on-hand to discuss and sell their work at Botti Studio from noon to 5 p.m. for Open Studios Evanston, and a reception with the artists will follow that evening from 6 to 8 p.m., and includes a special onsite improv comedy show. All events are free and open to the public.

Artists: Jessica Jacobs, James (Cass) Whitworth, Joshua Rains, Jim Hutchison

Creativity meets collaboration with Studio//Shift, a unique way for design firm NeigerDesign to support our employees, both past and present. It is a catalyst for creative growth and a channel for idea and information sharing. The collaborative encourages and promotes each other's personal artistic passions, which ignites and fuels the creativity and problem-solving talents that are employed in the daily work here at NeigerDesign. Each artist contributes a distinctive perspective and style. The give and take of collaboration energizes the entire team and provides a wellspring of creative solutions, personally and professionally.
