Marwen is a non-profit organization that offers free visual arts youth development and college preparatory workshops to underserved Chicago students grades 6-12.
Marwen serves over 900 students and offers classes in 13 disciplines including design, painting, photography and ceramics, and also offers resources for students wishing to attend art school after high school.
NeigerDesign is an ardent supporter of Marwen, and has a personal connection to the great work they do. Our own AIM High Chicago mentee and student, Andrew Mesadieu, took classes at Marwen. The classes and resources there helped him prepare his portfolio and get into Parsons The New School for Design in New York, where he is finishing his last year.
Carol Neiger was lucky enough to attend the Exhibition Opening on July 11th with Unisource Worldwide's Andrew Dembitz. Andrew is a member of Marwen's Board. Visit https://marwen.org for more information on the program.
